The Japanese automaker has introduced its redesigned 2019 Mazda 3 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The stylish vehicle is available in the hatchback as well as sedan body styles employing Mazda’s latest modular platform, the SkyActiv-Vehicle Architecture offering improved performance. The platform makes the new 3 quieter, cozier, and more sophisticated.
The new platform also incorporates Mazda’s new SkyActiv-X engine, which is cleaner and offers improved fuel efficiency compared to previous models. The automaker has used Spark-Controlled Combustion Ignition technology in this powerhouse to render up to 30 better mileage compared to a regular engine.
