The 2021 Genesis GV80 will hit the roads later this summer and the automaker has released the pricing details of the luxury crossover. Competing against the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 and the BMW X5, the starting price is very nominal. However, with all the options ticked off, the price gets a real big jump. The vehicle debuted at the Chicago Auto Show.
The GV80’s price depends on three aspects i.e. powertrain, paint, and trim level. The entry-level variant is powered by a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder engine churning out 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts) that pairs with the rear wheels. Opt for the 370 hp twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 and all-wheel drive and the price goes up by $10,000.
Besides, there are three option packages namely Standard, Advance ($5,200), and Prestige ($11,800). The Advanced suite comes with a head-up display, surround-view camera monitor, remote start, and heated second-row seats among others. The addition of third-row seating is very economical at just $700. The most expensive Prestige offers 22-inch wheels, Nappa leather, digital instrument cluster, active noise cancellation, ventilated second row, and soft-close doors.
That’s it! But those who will select Cardiff green paint will add another $400 in the total, taking the final price to $72,375 with destination fees. For reference, the fully loaded GLE 450 can touch a $90,000 price point, and the BMW X5 lands in the same territory as well. How good is the 2021 Genesis GV80 against its rival? We will know only once we get a chance to test drive it.
