2022 Skoda Karoq Facelift Comes With Improved Design, New Features

The Skoda Karoq has received the mid-cycle facelift to stay competitive in its segment. The compact crossover comes with a range of changes including the matrix LED headlights for the first time (on upper-spec models only). We have already seen this tech on the new Superb, Kodiaq and the 4th-gen Octavia. Besides, the 2022 Skoda Karoq boasts a different light arrangement, updated full-LED taillights, and a modified front and rear bumper.

The aero-optimized alloy wheels are available in 17, 18, and 19 inches. The drag coefficient went down to 0.30, signifying a boost of nine per cent. Moreover, the front grille is a little wider than before to give the vehicle a bulky look.

The interior changes include a new standard digital instrument cluster – available in an eight-inch display or a bigger 10.25-inch screen. Customers can select from four infotainment systems – the 9.2 inches display is the biggest and allows over-the-air updates.

The cabin gets its fair share of new stuff such as a new Eco pack consisting of vegan seat covers, leather-like fabric, and a microsuede on the armrests. Furthermore, it offers ambient lighting in 10 shades and a glowing footwell in white as well as allows buyers a selection between chrome and piano black trims according to the variant.

The 2022 Skoda Karoq also offers owners a memory function for the electrically adjustable front passenger seat. As we had seen before, the Sportline comes with its own appearance, making it look like an RS, without the extra power.

Skoda offers a long engine lineup, the details of which you can see below:

The Koraq remained the automaker’s second best-seller last year and the first half of 2021. It will hit the roads in Europe at the start of 2022. The company will not offer it in the PHEV guise. For the time being, the plug-in hybrid powertrain is reserved for the Octavia and Superb.
