2 days left and we will see it all, the new and important metal we’ll be seeing at the Detroit show when it all kicks of on the 12th of January. There will be never-before-seen models from several major manufacturers, with Mercedes hogging the limelight with five new models, and brands such as Audi, Honda, Lexus and Volvo also pulling the wraps off their hottest metal for the first time.

2016 Honda Acura NSX
Scheduled to arrive as a 2016 model, the long-awaited second-generation Acura NSX wears a sleek, low-slung design that is heavily inspired by the NSX Concept that was presented at the 2012 edition of the Detroit Motor Show.
The NSX hasn’t been fully unveiled yet but Acura has hinted that the coupe will make use of its Sport-Hybrid Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive system, which teams a mid-mounted VTEC V6 engine with a trio of electric motors – one integrated into the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and two mounted at the front wheels. All told, the NSX is expected to boast about 500 horsepower.
2016 Audi Q 7
Shorter and narrower than the current model, the 2016 Audi Q7 wears a sharp, evolutionary look that hints at Audi’s next design language. Inside, the dashboard is a lot less cluttered and the off-roader can be fitted with a number of high-tech options including a fully configurable digital instrument cluster gleaned from the third-gen TT.
The seven-seat SUV will the first model on the VW Group’s new MLB 2 platform.
2016 Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe
With the 2016 GLE Coupe, Mercedes-Benz is finally ready to fight head-to-head against the BMW X6. The front end of the GLE Coupe falls in line with Mercedes’ recent design language while the back end features a slanted fascia and slim tail lamps connected by a strip of chrome trim, a look that is directly inspired by the S-Class Coupe. Under the skin, the GLE Coupe shares the bulk of its components with the M-Class.
Mini John Cooper Works
The British marque will show a hot John Cooper Works version of the Cooper S.he British marque unveiled an even faster John Cooper Works version of its Cooper S three-door hot hatch in December. The scorching Cooper JCW featured at the 2014 Detroit show as a concept, but is now ready for an expected early 2015 release.
2016 Volvo S60 Cross Country
The 2016 Volvo S60 Cross Country is a high-riding sedan inspired by the successful Cross Country station wagons that have been part of the automaker’s lineup since 1997. It is boldly designed to fill a niche that has been occupied almost exclusively by Subaru since the demise of the AMC Eagle. The Cross Country stands out from the standard S60 thanks to a rugged look accented by plastic trim on the wheel arches and on the rocker panels and a noticeably raised ground clearance.
The 2016 Volvo S60 Cross Country produce 250-horsepower straight-five engine that will spin all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
2016 Infiniti Q60
Billed as a close-to-production show car, the Q60 Concept accurately previews the replacement for the aging Q60 Coupe. It falls in line with Infiniti’s latest design language thanks to sharp headlights, muscular ripples in the hood as well as a large radiator grille with mesh inserts and a large Infiniti emblem.
