The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia was able to secure a ‘good rating’ in all the five crashworthiness tests including small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints. The base trim received a ‘poor’ rating in the headlights department while the optional adaptive HID projector headlights with auto high beam were marked as ‘Good’. The optional front crash prevention system also scored a ‘Superior’ rating, avoiding a crash at a speed of 12 mph.
The standard safety features on the 2017 Giulia include front driver and passenger airbags, side curtain airbags, daytime running lights, key-less entry, panic alarm, ABS with EBD, traction control, parking assist and more.
The base model is powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine which produces 200 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission system. It starts from AED 132,400 while the range-topping trims cost around AED 383,800. In the end of last year, they also introduced a mid-level model.
