The all-new fifth-generation 2018 Lexus LS sedan has finally arrived in the Middle East. It was officially unveiled by Al-Futtaim Motors at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show.

In terms of design, the 2018 Lexus LS features a redesigned signature spindle grille with a unique new texture, a new 19-inch wheel design as well as three 20-inch wheel designs. The wheels extend an innovative hollow-rim structure, which helps to reduce the noise generated by tires during driving. Besides the 13 exterior colors, two new body paints have been added including Manganese Luster and Sonic Agate.

Chris Buxton, Managing Director of Lexus at Al-Futtaim Motors commented: “Since its initial launch in 1989, the LS has earned a reputation for smooth and powerful performance, as well as exceptional quietness and comfort. It has won praise by anticipating what luxury customers would want, rather than simply amplifying what established luxury automobile brands offered at the time. This is the car that not only started the Lexus brand in the world but also introduced the Lexus HEV to the UAE. Now in its fifth generation, the all-new LS is completely reimagined and will once again surprise customers by resetting expectations for a global flagship sedan”.

The interior offers an enhanced seating design. The front seats are 28-way power adjustable with cooling and massage functionality. The rear seats can be reclined up to 48 degrees and also feature cooling and massage options. A 12.3-inch navigation display is available as standard but customers can also opt for an optional 24-inch HUD. The new infotainment system can now be controlled via Lexus’ Remote Touch control system and also recognizes hand-written commands.

The new Lexus LS also offers a phenomenal cabin climate control system and an air suspension system. Moreover, it renders state-of-the-art safety features such as pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane keep assist, adaptive high-beam assist, blind spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert and more.

The LS will provide customers three engine choices; a 3.5-liter V6 multi-stage hybrid system, a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 and a newly built 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 unit.

The starting price of the all-new Lexus LS is AED310,000.
