The British automaker Range Rover is definitely not taking a break to introduce more potent vehicles in the market. Recently, we caught what appears to be a prototype of the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Velar SVR. Surprisingly, the regular Range Rover Velar is not even in the showrooms yet, and the automaker decided to move forward with a more powerful version of the SUV.

Up front, the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Velar SVR extends massive intakes integrated on the front bumper. At the back, a large diffuser can be seen incorporated on the rear bumper along with two huge exhaust tips. Moreover, upgraded brake discs as well as calipers can also be seen inside the wheels.

Reports suggest that the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Velar SVR will be powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8 unit, which will generate about 500 to 600 horsepower. The transmission system and chassis from the standard Velar might also get some improvements.

Once launched, the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Velar SVR will compete against the models launched by Audi Sport, BMW M and Mercedes-AMG division.

The standard Range Rover Velar will go on sale later this year, while the SVR version might arrive sometime in 2018. We can’t comment right now when it will arrive here in the UAE.
