The Japanese automaker has introduced 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Midnight edition for the Middle Eastern market today extending the already exciting Pathfinder lineup. The 4WD SUV is built to cater to large families who like to go on adventures. This year’s Nissan Pathfinder Midnight Edition has been given a bit of a visual boost with the help of a sporty and attractive design and awesome finishing colors. Imitating the darkness of the night, almost every accessory and detail in the 2019 Pathfinder Midnight Edition is black. This includes the large 20-inch black aluminum-alloy rims, dark-colored mirrors, roof rail, front and back mudguard, rear spoiler, and radiator grille.
The Pathfinder Midnight has that extra edge over the standard Pathfinder owing to its dominant styling elements. The SUV has Nissan’s signature V-Motion Grille, and slightly elbow shaped headlights that are noticeable from far away with the help of the LED daytime running lights. The front and rear fascia have also been refreshed and a panoramic sunroof is maintained for daytime lighting. A nice ambiance is created with the LED interior lights.
Nissan has also enhanced the safety features in the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Midnight edition. The SUV has the Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety features that include Intelligent Emergency Braking, Intelligent Cruise control, Blind Spot Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross-traffic Alert, and Intelligent 4X4.
The basic safety and security facilities comprise of Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (includes dual-stage front supplemental air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant classification sensor), 3-point seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters, curtain and side airbags for side impact and rollover head protection for outboard passengers in all three rows (includes rollover sensor), 3-point seat belts for rear seat occupants, including 2nd row center position, LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) – second row outboard seating positions only, child safety rear door locks, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS).
The seven interior seats have the EZ Flex seating system that makes reaching the third-row seats easier when a child safety seat is placed on the second-row. The rest of the interior elements are pretty much the same as in the basic version. The tech features comprise of Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, and iPod® integration. The tri-zone Family Entertainment system encompasses front seats head restraint-mounted DVD display screens. The rear displays get 8-inch QHD designs (versus the previous 7-inch WVGA) and give liberty of auto brightness control and USB and HDMI rear source inputs.
Nissan has also revised the 3.5-liter V6 engine to render extra power and torque. Nissan has employed more than 50 percent new or new-to-Pathfinder engine parts and components. The engine is mated to Nissan’s third-generation Xtronic transmission.
