The Japanese automaker has introduced the 2020 Honda Pilot and to spice things up the marque has added the new top-of-the-line Pilot Black Edition. Same as the Honda Ridgeline Black Edition, the automaker only made cosmetic changes to it inside and out. Unfortunately, there are no updates in the powertrain. Under the hood is a 3.5L V6 creating 280 horsepower and 399 Newton-meters of torque. The power goes to all the wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission.
On the outside, we can see the unique Crystal Black Pearl shade, a Black Edition grille and tailgate badges, and black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels. The Blacked-out theme engulfs the grille, headlight trim, door handles, side trim, fog light accents, and window trim.
The same blacked-out theme runs inside too. However, Honda has used contrasting red accents to give a pleasurable ambiance. The red highlights are visible on the doors, center console, second-row captain’s chairs, door panels, and steering wheels. Moreover, we can see the Black Edition emblem on the front seats.
The 2020 Honda Pilot Black Edition will cost $50,715 (including destination charges). It is $1,500 more than the Honda Pilot Elite, which starts from $49,215. For comparison, the 2019 Pilot starts at AED 129,900 (VAT included). We are not sure if Honda has any plans to introduce the Pilot Black Edition here. Stay tuned for updates!
