The luxury brand of Nissan has introduced the 2020 Infiniti QX80 with an updated interior and availability of the Edition 30 Package, which makes the SUV visually more appealing and safer. While the automaker upgraded the interior in 2018 making it more luxurious, they surprisingly ditched it in 2019. The new model should remove the grievances of the QX80 fans.
Inside, the 2020 QX80 has a new center stack and two display screens. The instrument cluster is a large 7.0-inch display. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV comes equipped with a range of electronic driver-assist features.
Talking about the Edition 30 Package, the automaker introduced it to commemorate Infiniti’s 30th anniversary. This package adds 22-inch wheels with a dark finish, dark chrome accents around the exterior, and an exclusive graphite finish for the headliner, sunvisors, sun shade, and pillars inside. The treadplates are stainless steel.
The Edition 30 Package also beefs up the electronic driver-assist features by introducing the adaptive cruise control, distance control assist, around view monitor, backup collision intervention and predictive forward collision warning, in the mix.
While we now have a more visually appealing QX80, unfortunately, we don’t see any change in the power department. It even doesn’t offer any optional mill for the customers. The power comes from the old 5.6L V8, which creates the power of 400 horses and 413 pound-feet of torque. We hope Infiniti would give customers more options in the power section.
The 2020 Infiniti QX80 is being produced at Nissan’s plant in Kyushu Japan. It is the same plant the automaker uses to build Armada.
The automaker didn’t reveal the price of the new QX80. We believe it will be more than the 2019 QX80, which starts at AED 322,250.
