Soon after revealing the 2021 Kia K5, the South Korean automaker has released its pricing details. The base model will start at $23,490 (excluding $965 destination fee), which is just $100 more than the outgoing Optima.

With this starting price, the new K5 will give a tough time to its competitors, the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry. Cars Direct says, it is even better than the Hyundai Sonata with its lots of desirable features. We are talking about the 180 hp turbocharged 1.6L engine, 16-inch aluminum wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, and a range of safety features for the base K5 LX.

Those looking for extra power can opt for the K5 GT boasting a turbocharged 2.5L engine generating a modest 290-hp. This one starts at $31,455, but it’s still less expensive than the Optima SX Turbo. Tick all the boxes and the price may go up to $36,000.

For the US markets, the 2021 Kia K5 will reportedly offer attractive lease packages. The EX, LX, and GT-Line will be available on $2,000, $1,100, and $900 discounts respectively, according to Cars Direct.
