The Japanese automaker has teased the 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage with an updated front fascia, showing brand’s new design strategy for its entire lineup in America. Both the Mirage hatchback and Mirage G4 sedan as well as the Outlander PHEV and Eclipse Cross will come with new styling to attract new customers.

Expected in the last quarter of this year, the 2021 Outlander PHEV will reportedly have a 2.4L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine generating 126 horsepower (94 kilowatts) assisted by two electric motors that will create 93 hp (69 kW). Providing energy to the motors is a little beefier 13.8-kilowatt-hour battery compared to the outgoing model.

The new 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4 will hit the roads in the start of 2021. From the teaser image we can see, it has a new nose, sharper styling for the headlights and lots of chrome. Seeing the model Mitsubishi introduced for Canada, it should come with better fuel mileage and lots of driver assist features.

The next-gen 2022 Outlander will come in the 2nd Quarter of the next year with a bold design. Mitsubishi says, it will be “the quietest and best-equipped Mitsubishi ever sold in the US.”

We are not sure when it will reach the Middle East. However, for reference the 2020 Mirage hatchback is priced at AED 37,900 here.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Mirage, Outlander and other vehicles in the Mitsubishi overhauled lineup.
