Nissan has launched the updated 2021 Armada featuring a bolder grille, its new company emblem and a tweaked interior boasting a standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen and wireless Apple CarPlay. Moreover, for the first time, the full-size SUV offers a Midnight Edition package (for $1990). The 2021 Nissan Armada starts at $49,895, which is $1,000 more than the outgoing model. Comparing to its competitors, the 2021 Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Tahoe, the Armada is still cheaper.
It is worth noting that the entry-level S trim level is new to the lineup for this year and it includes cloth seats, 18-inch wheels, and a four-speaker audio system. The previous base variant, the SV, now costs $53,895, a bump of $5,000 from the previous model, boasting heated leatherette seats, roof rails, two additional speakers, wireless charging, and a trailer brake controller.
The Armada SL is $3,600 costlier for this year, starting at $57,295. For this price, Nissan adds leather seats, power moonroof, a Bose sound system, a 360-degree camera, and 20-inch wheels. Those with deeper pockets can opt for the top-of-the-line Platinum version for $66,295. The premium model comes equipped with quilted leather seats, rear heated seats, power reclining seats in the third row, a digital rearview mirror, and 22-inch wheels. The Platinum is also $2,970 costlier than the last model.
No changes are made in the power department as it still gets the 5.6-liter V-8 assisted by a seven-speed automatic transmission. However, power output is increased to 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. All Armadas come with a standard rear-wheel drive, while the AWD adds $3,000 to the price.
The 2021 Nissan Armada has already hit the dealership in the U.S. and some other parts of the world.
