2021 Nissan Maxima 40th Anniversary Edition Introduced

    September 22nd 2020     Suhail Ajmal

The Maxima came in America in 1981 sporting the name Datsun 810 and later got the Maxima batch in the mid-80s. Now it has spent 40 years of its existence and the company wants to celebrate it with the introduction of the 2021 Nissan Maxima 40th Anniversary Edition. It will be a limited edition model; however, the number of units is not specified yet.

The cosmetic package will include everything you find in the Platinum trim and some extras. We are talking about distinct two-tone Ruby Slate Gray Pearl with a black roof, polished black 19-inch wheels, black exhaust finishers, and black exterior symbols mentioning 40th anniversary.

The interior changes are not highly prominent but it does get heated rear seats as an improvement. The speedometer and tachometer boast white looks. Moreover, the red semi-aniline leather seats sport 40th Anniversary badge.

You can opt for the 40th Anniversary Edition package on the SV, SR, and Platinum trims. No mechanical changes are available though, so expect the Nissan’s 3.5L V6 mill generating 300 horsepower (223 kilowatts) and 353 Newton-meters of torque, mating to Xtronic continuously variable transmission.

The pricing details for the 2021 Nissan Maxima 40th Anniversary Edition will be revealed closer to its launch in fall. For reference, the 2020 Maxima starts at AED 141,500. Expect a little premium over the standard model. We did not receive any news regarding its launch in the UAE.
