Genesis has finally unveiled the pricing details of the 2022 Genesis GV70 crossover for the U.S. and other markets. The luxury vehicle was first revealed in October 2020 while the technical specifications came in December 2020.
The entry-level 2022 Genesis GV70 starts at $41,000. Paying this price, you can get your hands on the model featuring an all-wheel drive with a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine. The mill creates 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts) and comes with a variety of standard driver safety and assist systems. Besides, it boasts LED lights on both the front and rear, heated seats, a digital cockpit with an 8-inch digital instrument display, and a 14.5-inch centre screen. The power goes to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is standard throughout the range.
Those who want to make the offering more luxurious can opt for the $45,000 2.5T Select variant. It comes equipped with spiffy wheels, a panoramic roof, aluminium trim, ventilated front seats, an updated stereo, and other things.
For better safety and advanced features, you can go for the 2.5T Advanced model, which sells for $49,150. The Sport Prestige is the most expensive four-cylinder variant costing $52,750. It comes standard with full leather inside, 21-inch wheels, and extra driver-assist systems.
If you are looking for extra power, better to pick the 3.5T Standard, which starts at $52,600. The twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 churns out 375 hp (280 kW) while retaining most of the facilities we get in the 2.5-liter Standard. We say ‘most’ because the entry-level V7 model comes with better equipment such as the panoramic roof, 19-inch wheels, electronically controlled suspension, ventilated seats, and most of the driver-assist tech.
For a sportier experience, you can have the 3.5T Sport Advanced, starting at $57,600. The top-of-the-line 3.5T Sport Prestige sets you back $62,500. Here’s a pricing chart of the 2022 Genesis GV70 for the U.S. market.

Comparing the 2022 Genesis GV70 with its German rivals, it is around $2,000 cheaper while retaining more standard equipment. The entry-level BMW X3 sDrive30i boasts a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to rear-wheel-drive setup, generating 248 hp (185 kW), costing $43,000. Besides, the Mercedes GLC 300 comes with rear-wheel drive and a 2.0-litre engine delivering 255 hp (190 kW), wearing a $43,200 price tag. Perhaps, the nearest rival is the Audi Q5 Premium 45 TFSI featuring a turbo-four yielding 261 hp (195 kW) channelled to all the wheels, costing $43,300. On the higher end of the spectrum, the South Korean luxury crossover is roughly $2,000 costlier than its German rivals, not including devoted performance variants.
The 2022 Genesis GV70 will hit the roads later this year. The exact date of its arrival is still a mystery.
