The Korean automaker thought of introducing Santa Fe in the U.S. in the three-row configuration as well as with a diesel engine, but it couldn’t happen. For this reason, people looking for more seats have to upgrade to the Palisade. However, the new Hyundai Santa Fe sold elsewhere come with seven centres and diesel mills. These choices are accessible in the fourth-generation model unveiled in 2018.

At its home market, though, Hyundai is experimenting with a six-seat model boasting captain’s chairs in the second row. Besides, it is also accessible in hybrid flavour. The 2022 Santa Fe was launched in the U.S. some months back. It came with a new XRT model that sits between the SEL and Limited for off-road enthusiasts.

While we are not sure when Hyundai will offer seven or six-seat variants in the U.S. and the UAE, we will definitely get the Ioniq 7 all-electric SUV with three rows of seats in 2024.
