It has only been three years since Lexus brought the seventh-generation ES to the market and now the automaker is giving it a facelift for the 2022 model year. The 2022 Lexus ES will hit the floor of 2021 Auto Shanghai alongside LF-Z electrified concept. To give us some idea of the midsize sedan, the automaker has released a teaser video and a photo.

Seeing the teasers, we can find slightly updated headlights with an altered light design for the sharper daytime running lights. The main headlight cluster looks different as well with three square units. At the back, it appears to have a trunk lid spoiler, the AWD logo, and nearly the same taillights as the present model.

While it is not clear from the teaser photo if the 2022 Lexus ES will be a global model, we believe it is. There would be some changes inside and under the hood as well. To know more, we just have to wait for six more days as the sedan would premier on April 19.
