A couple of months back, we had some shots of the camouflaged GMC Yukon. While we weren’t sure at that time, we now know that it was a new trim for the Yukon Denali. Named the 2023 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate (previously an add-on for Denali), it is now the flagship model of this three-row luxury SUV.
Exterior
While the changes here might not uproot your prospects of opulence, there certainly are things that will excite you. The Ultimate gets new dark chrome accents on the front fascia and vivid chrome bordering the windows and the lower door panels. The wheels are 22-inch seven-spoke specially created for the 2023 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate featuring chrome and dark shade.
Interior
The interior is certainly the place that electrifies us more than the exterior. The seats are covered in full-grain leather, and the driver and passenger would love to have 16-way power seats offering massage. Opposing color stitching and woodgrain trim boost the interior charm. Besides, we see an 18-speaker Bose system, including speakers fixed into the front headrests.
Tech Features
Improving the new range-topping Yukon Denali Ultimate’s safety attributes is the Super Cruise driver assistance tech. This new driver-assist system comprises automatic lane-change capability and hands-free trailer towing functionality on certain roads.
Besides, the Ultimate offers a 10.2-inch infotainment display with Google built-in services, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. These connectivity features are standard, but you have to pay extra for Amazon Alexa and WiFi Hotspot, as these are elective facilities.
Powertrain
As far as the powertrain is concerned, the Yukon Denali Ultimate doesn’t offer anything new. It means the buyers can either choose the regular 6.2-liter V8 offering 420 horsepower (313 kilowatts), or the turbocharged 3.0-liter Duramax diesel creating 277 hp (207 kW) and 460 pound-feet (624 Newton-meters) of torque. The power goes to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission, as the occupants hail the Magnetic Ride Control, Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, and 4WD system with electronic limited-slip differential and Auto Track two-speed transfer case.
Price and Availability
Expect the 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate to hit the dealerships this fall, with pricing information to be revealed before the on-sale date. For comparison, we can tell that the 2022 Yukon Denali starts at AED 318,000 here in the UAE.
