Aehra, an Italian company specialising in luxurious electric vehicles, has recently showcased the exterior design of its latest creation, a Sedan. This unveiling took place at the Milano Monza Motor Show, presenting the Sedan as a concept. It’s worth noting that this model shares the same electric vehicle platform as the previously introduced Aehra SUV.

The development of these two vehicles co-occurred, which becomes evident when observing them side by side. The Sedan shares the same design language and body surface treatment as the Aehra SUV but is obviously lower and features distinct front and rear ends.

Exterior

The notable features comprise a streamlined side profile boasting a seamless flowing contour devoid of any conspicuous door handles. The assertive front fascia exhibits elegant headlights and a meticulously crafted front bumper equipped with dynamic aerodynamic enhancements and cooling components. The gradually narrowing rear section showcases distinct LED taillights with a sharp design. It’s difficult to overlook the vertically opening double-falcon doors and the digitally optimized side mirrors designed for optimal aerodynamics.

Interior

The company remains tight-lipped about the interior, but it is expected to resemble the advanced cabin found in the SUV model. The cabin boasts a wide retractable dashboard screen that spans the width of the windshield.

Powertrain

Regarding the powertrain, Aehra has not provided extensive information. However, they have mentioned a custom battery solution created in collaboration with Miba Battery Systems for the Sedan. This collaboration aims to achieve an approximate range of nearly 500 miles (around 800 kilometers).

As per a previous article by Autocar, the Sedan is set to receive an identical powertrain as the SUV, boasting an impressive 800-horsepower tri-motor all-wheel drive system, along with a substantial 120-kilowatt-hour battery pack.

Additionally, the official statement reveals that the Aehra Sedan incorporates state-of-the-art composite materials renowned for their extreme lightness and eco-friendly nature. These materials are commonly employed in high-performance vehicles such as supercars and hypercars, showcasing cutting-edge forged carbon fiber technologies.

Will it go for production?

The prospects are quite promising, and the car’s aesthetic is truly impressive. However, can we realistically expect these plans to materialize? While providing a definitive answer is impossible, Aehra confidently asserts that it has secured significant private investments. This financial support will supposedly enable them to commence the distribution of their Sedan and SUV models in North America and Europe by 2026. It’s worth highlighting that this timeline represents a one-year extension from their original goal of 2025.

The high-end electric vehicles will be introduced at a later date in China and the Gulf region. In terms of cost, the price of the luxury electric sedan is projected to begin at approximately $170,000 (equivalent to 160,000 euros), putting it in direct competition with the Porsche Taycan Turbo.

Filippo Perini, the design chief at Aehra, who has a background in overseeing the creation of renowned models like the Murcielago, Aventador, Huracan, Centenario, and Urus during his time at Lamborghini, expressed confidence that the final production version of the sedan will closely resemble the images shown in the gallery above. Let’s hope for the best.
