At the sixth episode of the region’s most prestigious automotive awards ceremony, the Aston Martin DB11 Volante became the best Luxury Convertible. The MECOTY 2019 was organized on March 25th at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. The event invited 19 media representatives from the automotive sector who carried out a series of tests to recognize the world’s most exceptional vehicles.
The Aston Martin DB11 Volante is an open-top Sports GT boasting exceptional handling, responsiveness, and innovation. The Convertible carries a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 510PS of power output assisted by an 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. The electric power steering and limited-slip differential with dynamic torque vectoring make driving fun in all kinds of weather condition.
The highlight of the Aston Martin DB11 Volante is its convertible roof, which features new 8-layers to protect passengers from the harsh weather. The hood takes only 14 seconds to get down and 16 seconds to close. The procedure is seamless and can occur at speeds of up to 31mph.
