Ford has received four accolades at the 2019 MECOTY (Middle East Car of the Year) showing the automaker’s brilliance in producing supreme quality vehicles. The 2019 MECOTY was held on 25th March in Abu Dhabi where a jury of 19 motoring journalists spent a lot of time to pick the best of the best.
The Ford Expedition, F-150, Tourneo Custom, and Mustang GT got awards in their respective categories. Being in production for more than five decades, the Mustang received Performance Coupe of the Year award. America’s best-selling truck, F-150 is a household name from the last 4 decades and this is recognized by the jury awarding it the 2019 Middle East Truck of the Year.
The Transit Tourneo – a variant of the Ford Transit, which is serving the needs of motorists for more than 40 years – earned Executive MPV recognition. The relatively new offering from Ford (23 years in production), the Expedition received 2019 Large SUV of the Year honor.
The media representatives from GCC and Levant worked through a number of tests to reach their decisions.
