Land Rover has decided to resurrect Hard Top nameplate by introducing the new commercial Defender 90 and 110 models. Available in two flavors, the Defender 90 and 110, both will offer a distinctive mixture of cargo area, utility, and relaxation. Developed by the Special Vehicle Operations, the new Land Rover Defender Hard Top will hit the roads later this year.

Michael van der Sande, Managing Director, Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations, said: “We will maximize the functionality and usability of New Defender’s cargo area, with tough materials and clever storage solutions to ensure it surpasses the capability of any previous Defender Hard Top.”

The new Land Rover Defender Hard Top will have an inspiring payload and towing capacity of up 3,500kg with only three passengers’ capacity. It can tow, drive, and reverse securely thanks to the Land Rover’s intelligent Advanced Tow Assist system.

Inside, it features Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, the Hard Top boasts Twin eSIM technology with Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) capability. Other highly advanced features include an all-inclusive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, 3D Surround Camera system, and remote smartphone app allowing drivers to know their location, fuel level, and journey history remotely.

The automaker did not reveal the price and specification of the Land Rover Defender Hard Top. Stay tuned for updates!
