It has been 30 years since MX-5 Miata is warming the hearts of roadster fans all over the world. To celebrate this epic moment, the Japanese automaker has announced the Mazda MX-5 Miata 30th Anniversary Edition, which they will display at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show.

The automaker has chosen this show specifically to commemorate the moment when the first Miata was introduced at the 1989 Chicago Show. The roadster became an instant success thanks to its reliability and quality build.

Talking about the Mazda MX-5 Miata 30th Anniversary Edition, we do not know much about it. The automaker only showed a teaser image of an empty parking area. What we know is that Mazda wants this model to appreciate its loyal customer base.

We believe the anniversary edition will retain the same engine as available in the latest Miata. Mazda recently improved the power of the engine through different tweaks, so do not expect to get extra power. The engine redline also took a jump from 6,800 rpm to 7,500 rpm. Additionally, Mazda has improved the sound thanks to the new exhaust system.

To make the anniversary edition look different, expect some new graphics, memorial badges, and special shades to mark the car’s importance. As customary for special edition cars, we also expect exclusive wheels and customized cabin.

For more details about the Mazda MX-5 Miata 30th Anniversary Edition, wait for the Chicago Auto Show, which will start on Feb 7, 2019.
