After its success in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Oman, MG Motor has forayed into the Iraqi automotive market. The automaker has chosen GB Auto as their exclusive partner in Iraq and will launch showrooms in Erbil, Baghdad, Duhok, Sulaymaniyah, and Basrah. The Erbil showroom will be the first to start selling the MG Motor cars from August. All showrooms will offer sales and aftersales, as well as manufacturer warranty of six years or 200,000km.
MG Motor is bringing its most famous models for the Iraqi market including:
- Multipurpose MG T60 pick-up
- 2020 Middle East Car of the Year, the all-new MG HS
- Middle East’s ‘Best Sub-compact Sedan’, the new MG5
- All-new MG RX8 seven-seater SUV
- MG RX5 SUV
- MG 6 Sedan
- New MG ZS sub-compact SUV
Under the umbrella of Morris Garages, GB Auto will manage new car sales, aftersales servicing, and certified pre-owned sales. The parts will be delivered to them by the MG warehouse in Dubai.
