Nissan Sentra SR Turbo Unveiled in Miami

The new variant of Sentra SR, dubbed as the Nissan Sentra SR Turbo has been revealed by the automaker at the Miami Auto Show. It promises a sharper handling and superior performance.

Powered by a 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Nissan Sentra SR Turbo churns out 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque which is 66 hp and 52 lb-ft of torque greater than the standard Sentra SR. The engine can be mated to either Nissan’s Xtronic CVT gearbox or a six speed manual transmission system.

Besides an updated powertrain, Nissan has stated that the suspensions system and dampers have also been optimizsd for a swifter handling. Additionally, the steering has been enhanced and a new larger steering motor has been installed.

The front disc brakes in the Nissan Sentra SR Turbo measure 11.7 inches in diameter, while in the regular model, they measure 11 inches. Other exterior features are almost the same as standard Sentra SR such as LED headlamps, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust tips and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the Sentra SR Turbo is same as the regular Sentra SR as well. However, a premium package will be available optionally, which will include leather seats, 5.8-inch touch display, BOSE audio system, blind spot monitoring and Cross traffic alert.
