Leaked photos of the Toyota Fortuner have gone viral recently ahead of its debut. The photos were taken by an anonymous person from Headlight magazine in Thailand, as the vehicle was transported on a truck.
The Toyota Fortuner is a worthy sibling of brand’s famous Hilux trucks, and is anticipated to carry similar engine specifications. The sports utility vehicle is currently being assembled at a facility in Kostanay, Kazakhstan, which also entitles it as the first ever vehicle by the automaker to be produced in Central Asia. Initially, 3,000 units will be manufactured annually.
Toyota Motor Kazakhstan LLP (TMKZ), which was originally established as a sales and marketing company for Toyota and Lexus vehicles back in 2008, is responsible for production and supply of the Fortuner SUVs. Hopefully, the latest 4×4 will take over the Asian marketplace in due time, as the Hilux trucks did.
