Watch the 1,000Hp Hennessey Maximus Gladiator, Bound for SEMA

There is a treat for the power-hungry pickup truck enthusiasts at the 2019 SEMA Show. Meet the 2020 Hennessey Maximus – a 1,000 horsepower Jeep Gladiator truck that can tear any terrain coming on its way.

Hennessey took the new Jeep Gladiator and played with every bit of it. First off, they tuned the Hellcat’s supercharged 6.2L V8 and gave it HPE1000 engine upgrade. It not only improved the horsepower from 707 to 1,000 but also increased the torque to 933 pound-feet.

The additions to make the performance more efficient include the new ECU, radiator, and fuel system. Besides, it received a new wiring harness, a stainless steel exhaust system, new front, and rear bumpers, and LED lights. The power goes to the wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Of course, Hennessey had to upgrade the suspension, wheels, and tires to make it a more capable offroader. For this reason, they installed a six-inch suspension lift, 20-inch wheels, and 20-inch BFG KD off-road tires.

The 2020 Hennessey Maximus Gladiator isn’t your everyday offroader, thus it’d cost you a whopping $200,000. Hennessey plans to just build 24 units that make it an exclusive pickup truck. The tuner will take around four months to complete one unit with production already underway.

Hennessey Maximus

Hennessey declared in May that they will start building 2020 Hennessey Maximus in July 2019 and gave us details of the upgrades they want to include in the pickup truck. They also released three images, which we have shown below. If you like to see the truck in action and hear its sound, check the video released by the tuner.

For more details, wait for the SEMA show.
